On a cellular developmental method for layout optimization via the two-point topological derivative

This paper introduces a two-point topological derivative for elasticity and cellular developmental method layout optimization of structures. The measures the change on functional due to addition thin ligament between parts domain. It contrasts with existing single-point derivatives that measure subtraction material.
